We understand that choosing care for yourself or a loved one comes with important questions. Below you will find answers to the most common questions about our services, pricing, and what to expect when working with Caring Hands 219.
What areas do you serve?
Caring Hands 219 proudly serves Northwest Indiana (all 219 area code locations) and the Chicagoland area.
- Travel up to 15 miles is included in your care package.
- Travel over 15 miles will include a $40 mileage/gas fee, which will be discussed and confirmed before services begin.
Do you accept phone calls without completing the inquiry form?
We strongly encourage all new clients to complete the New Client Inquiry Form first. This helps us:
- Understand your needs
- Recommend the right care package
- Avoid unnecessary back-and-forth phone calls
Phone calls or text messages are best used after the form is submitted.
How do your care packages work?
We offer Bronze, Silver, and Gold Care Packages, each designed to support different levels of need. Care packages are:
- Billed monthly or weekly
- Paid upfront
- Include specific service limits based on the package selected.

Do you accommodate dietary restrictions or allergies?
Yes. Clients may request reasonable dietary accommodations such as:
- No pork
- No beef
- Low sodium
- Food allergies or preferences
Please note: we do not provide specialized medical or therapeutic diets. All dietary needs must be disclosed on the intake form.
How is grocery shopping different from meal preparation?
Fresh weekly meals prepared and delivered by Caring Hands 219 are included in your care package price. These meals are planned, prepared, and delivered as part of your selected package.
Grocery shopping refers to purchasing household food items or personal groceries on the client's behalf. While grocery shopping may be included as a service within certain packages, the cost of groceries themselves is paid separately by the client.
How do I get started?
All new clients must complete our New Client Inquiry Form. Once the form is submitted:
- We review your information
- A team member will contact you within 48 hours
- We confirm the best care package and next steps.
Submitting the form does not guarantee services and no payment is required at that time.
Are your services medical?
No. Caring Hands 219 provides non-medical support services only. We do not provide:
- Medical care
- Medication administration
- Nursing services
- Physical therapy or skilled care
- Respite care
Can I customize a care package?
Yes, within reason. We make reasonable accommodations based on:
- Scheduling needs
- Dietary preferences
- Household routines
Do you provide grocery costs as part of the package?
No. Grocery shopping costs are paid separately by the client. Caring Hands 219 provides the service of grocery shopping and delivery. The cost of grocery items themselves is not included in the monthly care package price. When grocery shopping is requested, we will:
- Shop at the client's preferred local store(s)
- Deliver groceries directly to the home
- Put groceries away in the refrigerator, freezer, or cabinets as required
- Provide receipt transparency for all purchases
